  CH1-78 instrument - the most lightweight and compact frequency of the proposed quantum standards. Its metrological performance is more than 100 times larger than (for long-term stability) best crystal oscillators.

  The basis of the device CH1-78 - absorption cell filled with vapor of an alkali metal Rb87. Transparency of the cell for light coming from the optical pumping source is changed depending on the frequency of the incoming microwave signal. Changing the intensity of light passing through the absorption cell is fixed by the photodetector, which generates a signal for adjusting the frequency of 5 MHz quartz oscillator forming a microwave signal.

  CH1-78 a part of the device there is a frequency comparator and a digital board, via which can produce measurement frequency of 5 MHz crystal oscillator.
