Radiometer specific activity RUG-2001
|
The radiometer RUG specific activity of 2001 (the radiometer) is designed for the rapid identification of the specific activity of natural radionuclides 232Th, 226Ra, 40K and man-made radionuclides 60Co, 137Cs in the samples selected for plavochnogo chemical analysis of iron and steel industries. The radiometer is used in the laboratories of radiological control of metallurgical plants. . The basis of the radiometer laid gamma spectrometric method for determination of radionuclides based on the pulse height distribution measurements of the studied radionuclides in the latched energy intervals p>
The radiometer is a stationary unit, consisting of the following main units: p>
- protection of the lead (one piece for a single-channel radiometer, 2 pieces of two-channel radiometer); p>
- detection unit BDEG-01D (one piece for a single-channel radiometer, 2 pieces of two-channel radiometer); p >
- block BPA-01D transmitter (depending on the order, distributed as part of a personal computer or in a separate housing);. p>
- PC p>
lead shielding provides protection from influence of the surrounding natural background in the measurement process. p>
The detection unit converts the stream of gamma radiation in a sequence of respective amplitudes of pulses. In the end detection unit is a well to accommodate the sample to be analyzed. P>
FHT converter unit 01D converts the amplitudes of the pulses from the detecting unit into digital code and transmits them to the PC. The transducer block has two independent channels of information processing thereto two detection units can be connected simultaneously. Depending on the order, the payment BPA-01D transmitter unit is installed in a free PCI-slot of a personal computer or in a separate enclosure. The information is exchanged through COM-port. P>
